CraftBritain and friends from University College Falmouth are heading to Appledore Arts Festival in Devon, to provide 4 days of FREE craft workshops! We’ll be there somewhere from 7th – 11th of June 2012
The festival is held in a stunning estuary village of Appledore and has been on annually since 1998! It’s aim is to promote visual arts in the south and is doing a wonderful job. Schools and communities have been preparing for this event and it’s Sunday parade for weeks, the excitement is building with 5 days to go. We’re super happy to be apart of it, so happy that the workshops we’re doing are all free for everyone, with a rather big thanks to University College Falmouth for funding them.
WORKSHOPS:
Screen Printing – A collaborative project for all ages, design and print a flag for our giant collaborative bunting. #Appledorebunting
Clay Figures – Learn how to Pressmould clay and contribute a figure to a growing installation piece headed by Anna Brimely #AppledoreFigures
Sculpture – Help Fabian Ruth build a giant creature throughout the festival from locally sourced recycled materials. #AppledoreCreature (TBC)
Hopefully see you there! but if you can’t make it, we’ll be broadcasting live updates from out twitter account @CraftBritain
