Pewter Live – Emily Goodaker – Contemporary Jewellery Design

Emily Goodaker came a worthy joint third in this years Pewter Live competition with her playful fish scales inspired jewellery. Living by the beautiful cornish coastline over the last 3 years has no doubt inspired her work.

She is interested in the relationship between repetition and multiples and how to incorporate movement into her design. Emily has captured both of these qualities in her marine inspired neckpiece. The piece can be worn in two ways, turned upside down, the straps slide down and the scales flip over revealing an alternative pattern and texture on the other side.

Emily is about to embark on her final year of Contemporary Crafts at University College Falmouth, so keep your eyes open and look out for some new exciting work emerging from her at the Falmouth Graduate Show 2013.
